The Anglo-Ethiopian Society

AES Library - Library Open House

organised by Claire Davies and Jude Girardeau

Saturday 16th August 2014

The Society's Library of printed books and ephemera is housed at the home of members Claire Davies and Jude Girardeau in Clapton, London. Although relatively small in number of items, some unusual documents can be found in the collection including some relating to the early history of the Society. The library catalogue is currently being transferred to an online catalogue. The work is not finished but you can view what has been loaded so far at www.librarything.com/catalog/AESLibrary.

Claire and Jude have very kindly offered to host a Library Open House from about 3 to 6 pm on 16 August when members can inspect the collection and try out the new online catalogue system. We look forward to welcoming you but as numbers are limited, please reserve a place. Light refreshments will be served.

The library is in Clapton, London E5. The nearest railway stations are Rectory Road and Clapton. Car parking is free on a Saturday afternoon. No charge to attend, all are welcome but a maximum 20 people can be accommodated.

If you would like to attend, or want further information, please email the librarian.
Confirmation, with location and time for meeting, will be sent by return.
