The Society's book club will discuss Daphne Martin Heyring's Excitements in Ethiopia.
The author was a young teacher at the Empress Menen School, living in Addis Ababa, at the time of the attempted coup d'état in December 1960. In this book she describes vividly those few days and also recounts many walking tours and travels throughout Ethiopia in the 1960s.
