Event - Ethiopian Poetry and Music Evening

7:00pm, Flamingo Restaurant (Downstairs), 31 Goldhawk Road, London, W12 8QQ - Public event (all welcome)

Please join us for a stimulating evening of Ethiopian poetry and music, introduced by prize-winning poet Chris Beckett. London based poets will include Alemu Tebeje, Makonnen Wodajeneh, Niyat Asfaha, Denise Saul and singer/krar player Haymanot Tesfa will provide the music. The poems will be read in English or Amharic with discussion and explanations in English.

The event, taking place in the Flamingo Ethiopian restaurant, will also provide an ideal opportunity to socialise with fellow guests. A pay bar will operate for soft and alcoholic drinks and Ethiopian food will, of course, be available to order if required.

Capacity at the venue is limited, so please reserve your place soon to avoid disappointment.
