Help
We have tried to make the website reasonably straightforward to navigate but please let us know if you have problems.
All text is designed to be scalable (using for instance the View - Text Size - larger/smaller settings in Internet Explorer or Control+/Control- in Mozilla).
All linked articles open in fixed width 'pop-up' windows. This was partly to make them easy to print out. There are no controls on the windows though so to print them you will have to use Ctrl+P.
Blue text has been used to highlight links in the main windows or articles (where there is a white background). Links in the Top, Side and Footer menus (where there is a green background) turn blue when the mouse is run over them. If you find that only the Top and Footer links are working for you then it is probably because you do not have Javascript enabled. The side menus and links do require Javascript to be enabled at the moment to navigate around the site.
Clicking on many (but not all) of the photographs will cause a larger version to open in a 'pop-up' window (The cursor will change to a hand shape when it is run over any linked text or photograph).
During testing it was noticed that some of the latest Internet Security programs (eg Norton Internet Security 2006) were stripping photographs from some of the articles. It appears that they were being treated as unwanted adverts but no notification of the fact that the photographs were being removed was given (unfortunately the captions are left behind which tends to make a mess of the text). The photographs all reappeared when the advert blocker part of the security programme was turned off. We've tweaked the articles that had problems so hopefully no-one will have problems now (but please let us know if you do).
