The scheduled event for this evening, a lecture by Peile Thompson entitled Into the Danakil had to be postponed as the speaker was called away at very short notice for a work commitment. In its place a film on the Ethiopian-Eritrean border situation, made on behalf of Ethiopia, was shown. Representatives from the Ethiopian Embassy attended. The film discussed the decision of the Eritrean Ethiopian Boundary Commission (EEBC) in the context of the Algiers Agreement, and the possibilities for resolution of the issues raised. The film was followed by a discussion from the floor.
