The Society's book club will discuss Inga's Letters from Ethiopia 1946 - 1955 to Her Sister Tyra in Sweden.
Ingrid (nicknamed Inga) Virving and her husband Bosse, who was engaged in work at (IEAF) Imperial Ethiopian Air Force, spent nine years in Bishoftu, Ethiopia. During this time Inga wrote many letters to her sister Tyra in Sweden in which she recounted tales about her everyday life - family, house pets, social circles, parties and nature. With an introduction and background by family members the letters are accompanied by contemporary photographs.
