Study Visit - Ethiopian Manuscripts at the British Library - Postponed until January 2019

Meet at 5:15pm in the foyer of the British Library, 96 Euston Road, London, NW1 2DB
(maximum of 15 places).


Ilana Tahan, Lead Curator of Hebrew and Christian Orient Studies at the British Library, will introduce the event and talk a little bit about the collection of Ethiopian manuscript material in the British Library. She will show three or four Ethiopian manuscripts and talk about them.

Dorothea McEwan will then show two illuminated manuscript books and explain some selected pictures from the books.

The books will be put out on display on soft cushions so that people will be able to inspect the illustrations more closely.

Entrance is free but numbers on the visit are very limited, so please reserve your place soon to avoid disappointment.
