Book Launch - My Name is Why - In Conversation with Lemn Sissay

Wednesday 4th September 2019

19:00 - 20:00, Level 6, Foyles, 107 Charing Cross Road, London WC2H 0DT.

Tickets £5 to £20.

Spend an evening in the company of beloved poet, playwright and broadcaster Lemn Sissay as he talks about, and reads from, his frank and timely new memoir My Name is Why.

Reflecting on his childhood in care, self-expression and the concept of 'Britishness', Lemn will explore the institutional care system, race and family, and celebrate the redemptive power of creativity. This is Lemn's story: a story of neglect and determination, misfortune and hope, cruelty and triumph.

This event will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Tickets should be purchased via Eventbrite:
