Walter Mittelholzer was a Swiss flyer and early pioneer of aerial photography. He started a small air-photo and passenger flight business in 1919, which later went on to become Swissair.
During his career he carried out many pioneer flying expeditions, which he marketed through books, films and in the press. One of his last expeditions was a flight from Zurich to Addis Ababa in 1934 to deliver a Fokker F-VII Trimotor to the Ethiopian Government.
John's talk about Mittelholzer's Abessinienflug will be illustrated with some of the fascinating photographs and film taken during the expedition.
Please reserve your place soon to avoid disappointment.
